Sometimes we need a little something to get the creative juices flowing. Using creative writers prompts often unlocks writers block.
I believe the best stories come out of character development and I boil the primary building blocks down to three main things: Negative Traits, Positive Traits, and Conflicts. Conflicts, of course, can be inner conflict and outer conflicts, but that that is a topic for another day.
Working with these key essentials, I’ve created a random generator that picks the three characteristics for me. Then, I write a scene with the character or generate a brief character profile with story ideas that incorporate the three characteristics.
Feel free to try my little practice tool and let me know if it helps you too. Happy Writing!
