Noah Penner is a writer, director, and producer based on Vancouver Island.

A graduate of Capilano University’s Bachelor of Motion Picture Arts program, Noah brings over a decade of on-set experience across productions ranging from large-scale studio films to independent features, with deep roots in the grip and lighting department.

His short film Alone in the Arctic Skies — a Cold War aviation thriller produced for under $6,000 — received a Leo nomination and won Best BC Film and Best Sound at the 2021 CineVic Short Circuit Pacific Rim Film Festival.

His producing credits include Firmware, released on the DUST streaming platform with over a million views.

Noah has extensive experience in vertical drama production and has taught filmmaking to emerging practitioners at the post-secondary level.
