Inspirations for storytelling are around us everywhere, but sometimes the process of getting those stories into a cohesive outline can be a daunting task and it helps to have a tool to help you clarify the story in its simplest parts.
I created a worksheet for myself that I often use to help me. I work through the questions in the worksheet I created to help me write outlines, which are never held to precisely, and evolve over time. But if the story gets lost along the way or gets messy for some reason, I look at it through the lens of this worksheet.
Importantly, this worksheet is also the basis of the information I put into my visual pitch decks, although they are of course even more concise than what I write in a treatment.
I hope you find this worksheet helpful and please do adapt it to suit your own creative process.
