It’s a Svelte Life

Working in film means a typical work day of 12-15 hours, lifting heavy gear and supplies, and standing on asphalt or cement floors of the streets and sound stages where we film.

Then, if you move into working in the office, you spend far too much time sitting at a desk, compressing the vertebrae of your spine, slouching, staring at a computer monitor until your eyes burn.

There are not enough hours in the day to go to the gym and when you do have some extra minutes, you spend it sleeping!

Working from home doing freelance work is an opportunity to recover my physical wellbeing.

I’ve discovered that the best thing you can do to recover is JUST MOVE. Don’t get me wrong, I still really miss CrossFit! But I have undergone injuries, plus bouts with COVID-19 and pneumonia several time the past 2 years. My body is broken and there is no way I could do CrossFit without seriously injuring myself.

So I’ve been knocking about the back yard and doing yoga. It helps, but I’ve found something absolutely fantastic that I can do whether I’m in a hotel room on the road for shooting a movie, or working at my home office. It gets me moving and feeling energized without high impact movements or heavy weights.

My back pain is much reduced, my energy level is up, and I am actually hopeful that one day I can start weight training again.

Imma be SVELTE!

Check it out – I don’t get a commission or anything for referring, I just feel really good about sharing a great thing.

Svelte Training – SO GOOD!
